Marine Chemistry Database

Our Data
The data held in the Marine Chemistry Database are divided into 3 areas:
CTD
CTD data were collected from marine research vessels of Taiwan. Our inventory not only provides access to continuous profiles of temperature and salinity but also dissolved oxygen, transmission, and fluorescence data collected with auxiliary sensors.
Bottle
Bottle data were mostly contributed from National Science and Technology Council projects. In addition, there are also South East Asia Time-series Stations (SEATS) data from Dr. Fuh-Kwo Shiah (Research Center for Environmental Changes, Academia Sinica) and the bottle data from the lab of Dr. Chen-Tung Arthur Chen (Department of Oceanography, National Sun Yat-sen University) and distinguished Professor Su-Cheng Pai (Institute of Oceanography , National Taiwan University ).
Underway pCO2 data are provided by the New Ocean Researcher 3 (NOR3) Marine Instrument Center. Following internal data quality control, the data are transmitted to and stored in the Marine Chemistry Database.

Our Services
Data access
Data in ODB falls under the data release policies of the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan. Therefore, sending the request form to yehtc@ntu.edu.tw is required to release any data.
Data Display
Please visit the ODB Marine Chemistry Viewer website which facilitates data visualization of the chemistry data stored in the ODB by querying temporal and spatial ranges.
Station metadata
Please visit the CTD stations and the Bottle stations webpages for retrieving the metadata of individual stations or vessels. Metadata includes station coordinates, maximum depth, and availability of measured variables.
